Correct - the pure metals will not combine with oxygen in the air to form rust. Silver alloy however if it contains some other metals like copper will form some oxide. Also silver will tarnish sometimes - this is usually the reaction with hydrogen sulphide in the air.

Seeing as rust is IRON oxide that makes sense, there is no iron in those pure metals to oxidize.

I like this idea, but it would be even better to provide some explanation of why and maybe sources as well. That would make it even more interesting to me. :P
