The British responded to the Boston Tea Party by making the Intolerable Acts which closed the Boston Ports and destroyed the Massachusetts government.
The people did not want the taxed tea to reach their Boston ports so they did the Boston Tea Party. The British responded by sending soldiers to Boston and creating the Intolerable Acts. (The Intolerable Acts were also called the Coercive Acts) After the Intolerable Acts the rebellion grew so the British Parliament passed the Stamp Act and the Townshend Acts.
