what is a good way to learn vocabulary (sadlier- oxford level G units 1-9) fast but not forget them easily?

Try to link the word to as many senses as possible. For example, say you're trying to learn "opulence." You would imagine yourself going into a wealthy house, where an orchestra is playing "opulence" over and over again in the ballroom. You see "opulence" spelled out in diamonds on shirt-fronts. Etc, etc.
