The graph shows an elevator’s height, in feet, as it moves between floors, over time, in seconds. How long was the elevator actually moving up or down?

14 Time(s)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

there are twice of 3 units when it wasn't moving, and the rest of the time it was in motion (either up or down).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I supposed (s) stands for seconds, Therefor 14 seconds.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

but it is asking for motion up and down, and it was not going up or down, between 2 and 5, and between 8 and 11.

I am here. I usually come back to replies, so no need tagging me. I would anyway, either be here or not be able to be here... I don't mind getting a tag, so don't worry about it.... and yes, what is your concern?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wht would be they answer then since Wxlfz said 14second

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you are asked to find the entire time when the elevator is moving up or down. you know that. I told you that I found 2 time-frames of times , 3 units/seconds each, when the elevator is not moving.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

So it would not be 14 seconds, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right
