@sleepyhead314

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one second let me type the equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[if f(x)=x/2 and g(x)=8x-6, find f(x) \times g(x)\]

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

well you have f(x) * g(x) plug in x/2 for f(x) and plug in 8x - 6 for g(x) (x/2)(8x - 6) <--- distribute can you do that? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm lost. :(

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

do you get how I plugged it in? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes a little.

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

then distribute so it is like (x/2)*(8x) - (x/2)*(6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply and subtract all that right?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay one second im going to give it a shot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4x ^{2}-3 ?\]

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

close! you've missed an x on the 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh! okay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks.
