A parking garage charges $5.50 to park for 4 hours and $7.75 to park for 7 hours. If the cost is a linear function of the number of hours parked, what is the cost to park for 3 hours?

$4.11, if this is what i think your asking all that u do is first understand the problem. You want to park for three hours but the minimum parking time is 4 hours for $5.50. so what you would need to do is divide $5.50 by 4 to get $1.37. To get how much the rate for three hours are, all that you need to do is multiply the $1.37 by 3 to get $4.11
