What positive effects did industrialists have on workers during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

In the US?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

hard to say that the industrialists had a positive effect on workers. it is just the Work Unions and the revolutionary change in the US that did it. 1) Raising minimum wage (good for workers) 2) Not allowing kids and other not-much-capable people to work at the factories. (good for workers and their families, as well as the society) 3) having skillful workers allowed to work only. (good for the goods that are made, and the market,---- if you want to know more about why it is so, ask.) 4) Work-conditions have improved. this is what I can think of.

Thank you.
