I need some help with Geometry! I will Fan and Medal! @TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The measures of each exterior angle in a regular hexagon is (4x + 15)*. Find the value of x. Show equations and all work that leads to your answer

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

All the exterior angles have to add up to 360.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright. So would I do 4x+15=360?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

no.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay xP I am really bad at math

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Since there are 6 angles and the totla sum of all these angles is 360. And all these 6 angles equal each other because it is a regular hexagon, we would divide 360/6=60 So each angle equals 60.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So then we would set it up 4x+15=60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay then from there it is basic algebra?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

yup!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

No problem :)
