difference between endocytosis and exocytosis
\(\huge\color{green}{Endocytosis}\): It involves the uptake of substances by the cell It involves formation of vesicles containing the substances (solid or liquid) Example: Engulfment of bacteria by the white blood cells during defense mechanism \(\huge\color{green}{Exocytosis}\): It involves the release of substance by the cell In exocytosis, the vesicles containing the substances fuse with the plasma membrane Example: Release of hormones out of the cell http://www.biology.lifeeasy.org/1772/what-is-the-difference-between-endocytosis-and-exocytosis resource
You can easily remember this fact by undersatnding the composition of the two words...
Endocytosis = Endo + Cytosis. Endo means to move inside (Import) and cytosis means cell Exocytosis = Exo + Cytosis. Exo means to move outside (export) and again cytosis means cell.
fun fact : difference between \(\color{pink}{endocytosis ~and ~ exocytosis}\) one have first one have "n" and second one have "x" assecond letter
