OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which two features indicate that a cell is an animal cell and not a plant cell? A. cilia, lysosomes B. central vacuole, ribosomes C. mitochondria, chloroplasts D. ribosomes, cell wall @confluxepic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what i think ^.^

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

You think its A. @Korey_Minter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep!

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Ok. One type of cell does not have a cell wall. Based on this what do you think it is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d?

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Yes. D is correct. @Korey_Minter @~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

":)

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Ok. Do you know why one of those cells lack those.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Plant cells have cell wall and a large central vacuole. You have to select the characters of an animal cell.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Animal cells have only cell membranes that holds it together so it does not need a cell wall.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Oh. Then D would be wrong.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes....

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Well we can eliminate one choice. One of those options have something that can't be in an animal cell.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

@Korey_Minter Are you here.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Cillia and lysosomes are never found in plant cells. Those are characteristics of animal cells...

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Yes. And chloroplast is only found in plant cells. Right.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yep and ribosomes and mitochondria is found in both...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for helping!! :D :P But I have to go my dad is home

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

So if we scroll up to the first response then I believe that the first guess is correct.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Ok. Bye.
