How do I solve.... Assume f(x) = 2x + 8 and g(x) = 5. What is the value of (g o f)(3)? 5 70 18 15

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you will have to plug in f(x) into the g(x) for x, to find gof(x). Since there is not x in the g(x), your gof(x) (just like g(x) ) is gof(x)=5

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

when you plug in 3 for x, you still have 5 because there is no x in the gof(x)=5, so gof(anything)=5 in this case.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve g(f(x)) \[g(f(x))=g(2x+8)=5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the anser will be 5.
