Chemical bond formed when one or more electrons are transferred from one atom to another

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe thats an ionic bond

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the electron is shared equally between the atoms , it is a covalent bond. An ionic bond, are atoms that are bound together by the attraction between oppositely-charged ions. Another thing that must be recognized is that covalent bonds are between two nonmetals while ionic is between a metal and nonmetal. non metal + non metal = covalent (sharing of bonds) metal + non-metal = ionic (giving away of electrons by one and receiving by the other)
