How can I find the value of x and y in a parallelogram with the following AE= X+8 CE= 2Y+5 BE= 3Y DE= 2X

you can either set AE = CE or BE = DE that's what the tick marks mean

yeah i knew that's what they meant

so far i only have x+8=2y+5 and 2x=3y and thats where im stuck at

isolate the x in your first equation then multiply the whole thing by two. then set that new equation equal to your second equation so you can find the y's. once you find the y's you can find the x's.
