In the equation 2x + 2y = 5, the y-intercept is 5. true or false

geerky42 (geerky42):

Try to rearrange equation into slope-intercept form.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Solve the equation for y

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

you dont have to rearange it. Y intercept means that x=0. So you plug in the value x=0 instead of all of the x. so 2y=5-2*0 => 2y=5 => y=5/2 , which is not 5

geerky42 (geerky42):

That's another approach.

Thankyou so much everyone :)
