1) what is stage fright? 2) which are thing to consider to deal with stage fright before and during the presentation
stage fright nervousness before or during an appearance before an audience.
Stage fright is the fear of being in front of people or in front of a large group of people. It's linked with anxiety and fear of certain situations that could possibly happen (falling, messing up words, coughing fits etc) A thing to consider is ways to help it. If you focus on one person in the audience you'll forget about the other people and it'll be like you're talking to just one person. The 'imagine everyone in their underwear' actually works. If you imagine someone else in a more embarrassing situation than you, it'll be easier to complete the presentation. It's also easy to think about something that someone else has done in the past. When other people do something funny before you, it makes anything you could do in this presentation less embarrassing. If you can get someone to speak with you, it calms your nerves and helps you to relax. These are all things that could help someone deal with stage fright, and then there are other kinds, like having something in your pocket to fiddle with while you speak, looking at someones shoulder rather than their face, etc.
