what is the solution to this equation 2(2-j)=4(j+10) j=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me a sec k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the "My Dear Aunt Sally" thing and multiply the outside factor with the factors inside the parenthesis and get 4-j=4j+40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then subtract 4 from 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then subtract 4j from -j and get -5j

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then you get: -5j = 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide each side by -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and you get: j=-7.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there you go
