The initials stand for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. So you can imagine what they did, they would make sure there were equal rights in every kind of category of life. From equality in housing, to school, to the public, etc.. They had a huge role in making sure that the "Colored" were not discriminated against legally and all that good stuff :)
