x = - 4/3 - 2/3, x = - 6/3, x = - 2

Answer: x = 2/3, - 2

Proof (x = 2/3):
4 - 4(2/3) = 3(2/3)²
4 - 8/3 = 3(4/9)
12/3 - 8/3 = 4/3
4/3 = 4/3

Proof (x = - 2):
