You need to calculate the lung capacity difference between a male and female athlete. The problem lists the equation you need to use but it is missing one piece of information, how to convert inches into centimeters. There are 2.54 centimeters in an inch so multiply the height in inches by 2.54 cm and you will have the height in centimeters. Plug information into the equation and calculate. Once you get the male and female athlete lung capacities, find their difference and you are done!
