what would you say to someone who is cutting them self on purpose because she is going through a hard time. im not giving away details btw

Tell your friend that if any of her major organs ever failed, that she's never be able to get on a organ transplant list because of self harm. But this is math, not a place for this. Ask some where else.

Well if you really care about your friend, you should tell someone like an adult or medical professional so they can get help and deal with the situation properly.

see self harm expresses emotional pain or feelings that no one can put into words .
just tell her that the she deserve someone better than him ....

Self harm is VERY hard to break...I know from experience the most you can do is just be encouraging and tell them things will get better. It helps. Im not saying they will stop right away but start with the little things..

I agree with @xo.minnie.xox . You just have to be encouraging and help them to see that self harm is not the answer, and that they have so many people around them that they can go to when they need help, who love them.
