someone help plzz ;-; exponent equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the question

OpenStudy (igreen):

If you have an exponent outside of the parenthesis, you multiply it to the exponent inside the parenthesis.. For Example: \((5^3)^6 \rightarrow 5^{3 \times 6} \rightarrow 5^{18}\)

OpenStudy (igreen):

Can you figure out what \(p\) is now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thank you i didnt know that :D

OpenStudy (igreen):

\((9^2)^p = 9^8\) Basically it's asking what times 2 = 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 ?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep!

OpenStudy (igreen):

\((9^2)^4 \rightarrow 9^{2 \times 4} \rightarrow 9^8\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnx <3

OpenStudy (igreen):

No problem.
