Any Sort of help will be appreciated. Den pushes a desk 400 cm across the floor. He exerts a force of 10 N for 8 s to move the desk. What is his power output? 1.25 W 5 W 40 W 500 W

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 5 i multiplied 10 times 8 divided by 400 i'm probably wrong but it's worth a shot

OpenStudy (surry99):

power = work/time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey you were right. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yayyy lol maybe i do remember something from school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol thank you ^-^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome hun

OpenStudy (surry99):

(10 x 8)/400 does not equal 5 so the math is wrong and so is your method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i obviously did something right and your right what i said is wrong but i did my math in my head so i don't exactly remember what i did

OpenStudy (surry99):

Power = Work /time Work = Force x distance x cos(angle between the force and distance)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all i know is i got him the right answer and that's that ok have a nice one :)
