The first one is ok. For the second one how do you agree with them when they got it wrong.
both are completely fine :) for the second, explain why they got it wrong and tell them to try again *without giving any answers*
Correcto :D
yes excactly I mean just tell them that's not it and explain why and tell them to try again...
yes as sleepy said
it's perfect :) just don't be that person that keeps on randomly guessing wrong answers to get people to give them the answer :/
ya I know @sleepyhead314
if an answer is correct, then stating that it is correct is fine. if an answer is wrong, then the person still needs some guidance/study to learn how they got it wrong. if they get an answer wrong, then approach it as an asked questions and first determine how they worked it out to see where they need corrections at. If they can catch their mistakes, they simply learn better from them.
For the first one. Ask them to show you how they arived to the answer. What if they took a luck guess and that was the answer?
asking them to show their work is fine yes, but there is no real fauxpas of giving out a 'direct answer' by telling them they are correct. Now as it may be, people will get an answer from someone/place else, and ask if its correct .... but as far as the rules of the site go, telling them they are correct is not going to get you in trouble.
as a side note: most of my solutions are lucky guesses ;)
lol thank you
