fermentation is the process where glucose is acted upon by yeast [a microorganism] that secretes an enzyme called zymase which converts glucose into alcohol and carbon di oxide..!!

@killingrichard reactants are what goes in; products are what comes out. In fermentation Yeast, Sugar(glucose), and usually H20 is put in and you get Alcohol and Carbon dioxide. This is the first step in making moonshine(: This creates what is called the "mash"
