\(\huge\color{blue}{welcome ~ to~ open ~ study}\) first distribute bracket by 2

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1418749544882:dw| multiply 2 by l =??? multiply 2 by w=??? let me know please

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Well, if you want to solve for w you gotta get it alone on one side of the equation. We can switch the equation so we have this A = 2l + 2w Now, do you know what we do next? Like Nnesha said :) To get A = 2l + 2w you gotta multiply 2 by l and w then take away the parentheses and keep the addition sign, if that makes since?
