What benefits do ambassadors have?
Not much, I'll tell you that.
Well, we get a sneak peak on new features, updates, and whatnot. We also can help design and create these features/updates. We also get to welcome new users as well :) It is fun!
:P
We get a say in lot's of things
Ambassadors get benefits? I didn't get the memo.
and if you do well as an ambassador, you also get letters of recommendation etc it's a good leadership filler for college/scholarship applications too and some ambassadors get interning opportunities
And you also get an A by your name :P
And you can welcome users officially.
And you get more recognized.
And you can deal with Eric the Evil Overlord @e.mccormick
naaa become the Evil Overlord's minion is fun :P but yes, more people remember who an ambassador is hmmm
so nithing interesting?
haha depends on what you would consider interesting @dtuniyants
I don't see any "benefits" of being an ambassador or moderator, no matter how many times I will get offered that, and regardless of how many people consider that to be a honor and pleasure. (Just my opinion)
of course ^_^ I'm just using all the fancy words as an excuse for procrastinating by being on openstudy all the time :P
Being an Ambassador is a form of business internship. It includes training and you get experience in online communications and business culture topics. It is also a form of volunteerism. This means it can be used on both college and business applications as a reference to skill development and proof of community involvement. More than one past ambi have done so and commented that it generated interest in the people reviewing their applications.
