well, yeah some are like that, but if you take the time to read the lyrics or listen to them and look up back rounds of bands like that, its a story in some cases. a lot of the bands have helped many teens keep going because they know they are not alone in their struggles of life. music has always and will always be a way of expressing oneself. (source: im in a metal band :D)

well no music is bad or wrong for us if we all look at the lyrics. yes rap can be horrible because all they talk about is getting drunk and doing drugs, and maybe getting with all those girls. thats the new rap, but the old stuff is about life as well.. thats my opinion. but see i like the heavy stuff. old school metal or new:)

Music is very influential in Todays youth. Music has the power to make a person feel a type of way, and that's something I don't think other forms of media does. Just because music has the power to make you feel, I don't think it causes people to react negatively. In other words, music has as much power on what a person decides to do as any other influential medium, like video games and movies

Also there is no dark music, no good music, no bad music. Only music just because you don't like a certain genre doesn't mean it's bad, it just means you don't like it. Even I call music "bad" sometimes, but it's something I am working on. I think that insulting someones favorite band or artist or whatnot, is like a slap in the mouth.
