Find the percent of increase in the newspaper’s circulation from 2000 to 2001 and from 2001 to 2002. b. Which period had a higher percent of increase, 2000 to 2001, or 2001 to 2002?

2000 ... 3250 2001 ... 3640 2002 ... 4100 The increase from 2000 to 2001 is 3640-3250=390 the percentage increase is given by the increase divided by the original value times 100 So in this case, percentage increase from 2000 to 2001 is [390/3250]x100=12% repeating the same method for 2001 to 2002 gives 12.6% So 2001 to 2002 has the higher percentage increase in circulation
