A sports section :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, we need to study sports some more. People are staying inside way too much.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO NO NO I VOTE NO LOL sorry I have been VERY random 2day but I still say no lol

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

What are you going to say. "I played football for two hours yesterday. Give me medals for my hard work."

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

So I disagree.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

why? you do realize openstudy is a website, yes? so people would be viewing the group from inside. so your "People are staying inside way too much" argument isn't even valid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sports isn't a class they're activities shouldn't have to study them in depth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

More active people >>> less lazy people.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

sorry if that sounded harsh, it wasn't meant to be :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

studying sports wont increase activity of people... look at what espn did more people spend time watching games at home instead of walking from car to stadiem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Design isn't class either..people just post drawings there. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ^^^ true

OpenStudy (aripotta):

design is a class actually. i took digital art in high school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then why do I only see pictures in there ? o.O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

digital designs is a class in public schools or atleast mine had and art is a class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Open study. Notice that word study in there. Study sports.

OpenStudy (samanthagreer):

@101 i disagree no sport section

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the need in studying sports?

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Sports is more like play not study.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

they're "studying" their works. asking for critique and trying to improve their abilities.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would you even study sports from a website like this, I don't get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sports is like, you basically learn them by playing, you can't do that from OS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did not say anything about 'watching sports'

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i am against a sports section, as well as a cooking section :/ why are people trying to add so many new subjects?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Instead of a sports section there should be agriculture

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i could back up an agriculture group. but not sports or cooking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the design section was made when the owl fanatics were making owls all the time and posting then on OS feedback

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think cooking is that bad of an idea though.... I mean sure, it's not exactly a need, but it would be a nice way to kinda unwind with the OS community, get creative and stuff

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

There is a Health Sciences group for Physical Education related questions...

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

People can steal recipes and call it their own. @BrambleClaw

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i've said this multiple times...i think we should have a "life skills" group where people can post general questions; cooking, communicating, gardening, etc.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Same with answers @confluxepic People steal answers and call them their own cx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure but that's not exactly much worse than some of the things the community already does

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

@AriPotta Thats what chats r for cx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What would people even talk about in a sport section?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@camerondoherty If you take a look at the math chats though.... A section would work for people who are actually looking for specifics like what @AriPotta said

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Oh yea, tru

OpenStudy (aripotta):

you would ask the chat when you should try to grow zucchini? or how to effectively communicate your thoughts without riling people up? or what's the difference between baking soda and baking powder? @camerondoherty

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the difference anyway lol....

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Sorry, I didn't mean it as rude But sometimes general question... You can google how to grow zuchinni You can ask the diference between baking soda and baking powder in... Chemistry? (somehow that fits) cx

OpenStudy (aripotta):

lol i have no idea :P it was just an example. if we had the life skills group, people could ask those general life questions. you wouldn't really ask those things in the chats and expect a real answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Very true, I could ask what the difference is over there too, and finally have my answer :P

OpenStudy (zbrandz23):

A sports section to me would be heavily spammed not to mention you can watch sports on tv or go outside and do some type of physical activity. Agriculture would be a better word to describe it and a cooking section that would be good subject for someone is homeschooled or a stay at home mom.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A stay at home mom on OS? Is that even a thing? Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you peoples' opinions don't really matter, it's the mods' opinions that matter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And where else do I discuss about the Dallas Cowboys winning on sunday ? :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mods look at the users of OS opinions if they see majority oppose they wont take into consideration. Subjects are used to advance studying if only one or two people are going to use it it's pointless

OpenStudy (aripotta):

@101 i think the best place for you to discuss that would be in the chats, or in a pm to a friend

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is my idea for a new section...@AriPotta the chats are for fooling around and stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what talking about sports is lol fooling around off topic stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would you know ? You probably don't know what sports are.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've played and been involved in sports before ;) they aren't useful for this site or anything this site needs pm's and chats are made for that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about the pictures in design ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

design is a class that people study

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Go to the design section and tell me what you see. @KlOwNlOvE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pictures and drawings yes they do that they study pictures and drawings for better understanding of people good for FBI purposes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

I wouldn't mind a sports section.
