Find the area of the isosceles trapezoid. A) 24 cm2 B) 30 cm2 C) 36 cm2 D) 48 cm2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i multiply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or add?

OpenStudy (cherry17ann):

Well to find area you use the formula length times width or lw

OpenStudy (cherry17ann):

But in this case you do base times height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x4=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what about 8?

OpenStudy (cherry17ann):

So the formula you use for this equation is Base x height divided by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait but what about 8 do i do 4 times 8 and get 32 then mulitply by 3 and get 96 and diveid and get 48?

OpenStudy (cherry17ann):

Pretty sure....

OpenStudy (cherry17ann):

or it's 24... I'm not sure, can you wait a few more minutes so I can figure it out?
