@TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or anyone help me please? :(

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

its d. you can plug in the numbers to check, A. 4> 4(3)-5 would be 4> 7 which is incorrect B. 1> 4(2)-5 would be 2>3 C. 0> 4(3)-5 would be 0>7 D. 1>4(1)-5 is 1> -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that's how you do it? :o

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

yep you plug in the numbers, your x value is always the first number within the parentheses aka (2,3,2,1) and your y values are always the second number within the parentheses aka (4,1,0,1). Every ordered pair is (x,y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do you know if it's D? @hockeychick23

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

because you plug the numbers in, your coordinates are (1,1) and your formula is y>4x-5. remember (x,y) so in this case both your x and y equal 1. So now you take your numbers and plug them in 1> 4(1)-5. 4-5=-1. Therefore 1>-1. This is why D is the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ! thanks <3 and can you help me with a few more? pretty please :3 I would be so grateful if you did

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be easy if I just gave you the link so you can see my screen and help me through there? :o

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

yea sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oki ! and my computer might like turn off cause something is wrong with it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll send you the link through your messages

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check it now :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you got the link?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a chat icon on join.me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you see my screen?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

its not working, can you just put the question on here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>_> you moved my mouse? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

move it again.

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

no i didn't the link isn't even open

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the graph of the inequality in the coordinate plane? y<-2 a.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c. and d.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hockeychick23 I put the questions here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I screenshot the answer choices

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is it B? D:

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

use this graphing calculator, just plug in the equation and it'll show you a picture of your graph, thats what you need to use for these equations, and its -2 shaded underneath because y is less than -2. Heres the calculator: https://www.desmos.com/calculator you just plug in the equation on the left hand side
