I don't think its kinetic because its not moving, I don't think its thermal because its not hot, I don't think its solar because of obvious reasons

I guess if they are used to do work, then you could say they store kinetic energy, but I would say the 1st one looks the best.

It's not thermal nor solar, I think it's either potential or kinetic, I agree with zz.
