In the Triangle Below, SIde B=???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

B=180-38-31.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AlexandervonHumboldt2 I knew that, I meant Side B sorry Dx

mathslover (mathslover):

You can better call it as "b" ... Side B is still confusing.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

o use the law of sines

OpenStudy (mertsj):

\[\frac{\sin A}{a}=\frac{\sin B}{b}\]

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Use that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do I plug in for a and b though @Mertsj

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

A and B are angles a and b are sides

OpenStudy (mertsj):

a is the side opposite angle A. In the picture it says that is 25

OpenStudy (mertsj):

b is what you are trying to find so you don't plug in anything for it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 38.5 @Mertsj @AlexandervonHumboldt2

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I got 38.1

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I really got 38.05 which rounds to 38.1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mertsj Yes, I got 38.05, but should I put 39? it says to round to two decimal points if nessisary?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If it says "round to two decimal places" that means you must have TWO numbers to the right of the decimal point.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Do you know how to round?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mertsj I dont really when it comes to decimals sort of.
