excluded values are what we use to keep us from doing "illegal" math in other words, no divide by 0 and no square root of a negative number. example: if we had y= 1/x we would say x is not allowed to be 0 (excluded value is 0) so that we don't allow divide by 0. in your problem, we have -2x/17 we are dividing by 17 and multiplying by -2. no matter what x is , we can do the arithmetic. in other words, there is no excluded value... all numbers are allowed for x
