6 squared + 8 squared should be 10 squared
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ya
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[a^2+b^2=c^2\]
it needs to be a right triangle |dw:1418827584111:dw| where c is the longest side
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
use pythagorean theorem to show the given set of numbers satisfy the relation

aaaaaaaa i am so confused
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So remember, the equation has to equal, like 3,4,5 3^2+4^2=5^2
9+16=25 the relation agrees
so there's another smaller one I can see right off the bat that will give you the relation (no pun attended)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but there are 3 numbers
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
a triangle also has 3 sides
OpenStudy (anonymous):
haha

you dont like the number 3 ha
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Well someone already gave away the answer, so lets use one for example, 6, 8, 10
|dw:1418827837755:dw| \[6^2+8^2=10^2\] does this agree?
