You need to use BIDMAS rule: BRACKETS, INDEX, Multipication, Addition, Subtraction, in that order. So, a product means two factors multiplied together, so the product of (3.4 x 10-14) and (1.8 x 1.028) is (3.4 x 10-14) x (1.8 x 1.028). so, since bidmas rule says do multiplication before subtraction this becomes 3.4 x 10 = 34, then minus 14 from that = 30 so, we have (30) x (1.8 x 1.028) = (30) x (1.8504) =55.512

(ab)4 is the same as 4(ab).. why? it is known as the commutative property imagine a = 2 and b = 3 well then ab = 6 and (ab)4 = (6)4 = 24 or if a = 3 and b = 2 then also ab = 6 and (ab)4 = (6)4 = 24 so a4b = (ab)4 and ab4 = (ab)4 and 4ab = (ab)4 but not a4b4 (which is the distributive property)
