i belive this question would go under mariene science How do i design an experiment to help conserve/preserve the sea turtle populations ?
@PRAETORIAN.10
An experiment is not going to help conserve animal populations. i think you could approach the question in terms of what causes the populations to decrease, like predation, pollution, decreasing resources, climate change, etc. Here is where the information you know about the sea turtle population comes into play. For example: "Do oil spills cause a significant decrease in sea turtle populations?" then you can gather: 1. data on the area about oil spills in the x past years 2. sea turtle censuses 3. other relevant info
@PRAETORIAN.10 he didnt help worth crap lol
i have the problem adn hypothesis filled out
okay well dunno how much help i will be but ill give it a go
okay
problem: attempting to conserve / preserve turtle population
research: well this depends on specifics, like do you wanna say that the turtles are being impacted anthropogenically
suree
i have no idea how to do this and i need to do four modulas in 3 days and im only on the 1st :(
four modulas on what?
its for mariene science trust me i dont need help on all of those just this experiment
hypothesis: is self explanatory this is where you say the turtle population is being desecrated by human fishing etc
i got that already
the experiment, well do you live somewhere where you can go out and observe this?
no
hmmm maybe youre supposed to research it then :/
il show u gimmi a second i have to get off il be on tomorrow
its weird, theyre asking you to go out and explain whats happening with the turtles and yet youre in no position to gather info and data. its like youre having to do a secondary experiment
ya i have to get off im finishing it tomoeeow
tomorrow **
yeah. i have my final medical exam today so im kinda flat out lol
@PRAETORIAN.10
i still need help
whats the Q?
look at the attachment i have done any thing ive been sick this whole time
haven't done
I WILCO
what??
its military, it means I will comply
ohh okay thank you i think lol
ten four ma'am
:) i would have done some but with me feelin like i do n busy its hard
oh right i remember this
i really appraite it
but lol we cant really do anything yet, we need statistics gathered
its about turtles right, we need data on them
ie how many damn turtles there are :D
haha yaa ikr
okay well you dont live anywhere where you can see any turtles
imma take a guess n say since there endangeord theres like 100,000 or less
i dont get it, everything is easy as except theres no way you can find a turtle population and count them
okay well now you just need to find out how many die each year vs how many are born and survive per year
okay
so basically if we say we have 100000 turtles and 1000 die and 10000 survive to be 1 year old then the population growth is......maths....
900,000 right
negative, thats how many are in the population once 100,000 die
you need to add on all the ones that are born
say 10,000?
50,000?
probs a lot more if 900,000 are alive currently
divide by half to say half are too young and too old
so you have 450,000 that can mate
so in 2014 there are 1,000,000 turtles 100,000 die due to nets and sharks etc and 450,000 are born of these 150,000 survive and so the population for january 1st 2015 is 1,050,00 turtles
sorry was doin soethin an okay
thats you done, now all you need to do is elaborate on it which you said above you understood :)
yaa
cool beans :D
have an epic day kiddo
lemme know if you need any more help later on
sure will
