MEDAL IS GIVEN!! What is the length (in centimeters) of side SU of the triangle? 70 77 90 98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (danjs):

sqrt(42*42 + 56*56)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

98?

OpenStudy (danjs):

70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@DanJS thanks :).

OpenStudy (danjs):

np, you are asking the same question more than once.. just remember for a triangle with a right angle, the long hypotenuse^2 = the sum of the squares of the two legs c * c = a*a + b*b

OpenStudy (danjs):

so here, c*c = 56*56 + 42*42

@DanJS Im really complicated with math, but better at other subjects. I have a really hard time figuring math equations and etc out.

OpenStudy (danjs):

ok, all you hav to remember, is that (hypotenuse)\[(hypotenuse)^2 = (leg)^2 + (leg2)^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@DanJS ok!
