Can someone please help me. I will fan and medal! The average number of students per class at a university in the t years since it opened is represented by the equation below. S = 9t^1/3 + 7.1 What is the best interpretation of S, the average number of students per class? A. the sum of 7.1 and the cube root of the product of 9 and t B. the sum of 7.1 and the product of 9 and the cube root of t C. the product of 9 and the cube root of the sum of t and 7.1 D. the product of 9 and the sum of the cube root of t and 7.1
I think each of those numbers and letter in the equation are different parts, so follow the order of operations. First is the cube root of t and next you multiply, then add. The order of operations can be remembered using PEMDAS (things in Parentheses are first, then Exponents, Multiplication/Division and the last are Addition/Subtraction)
Hint: using the equation as follows, follow instructions of @Hally85 to get the correct answer: \(S=9t^{1/3}+7.1\)
