I actually am Vegan now because of finding out how the industry treats animals; but it is not only that. Many people switch because of their beliefs. I really believe it depends on how the person is raised to see this. Killing animals for food (etc.) does not faze many because it was how they were raised to see their food or products: as a natural way of life. Many people know already of the practices of how their food gets to their plate.
