i need facts on the gulf war in the 1990s i want to know how the public reacted and why and some emotions they felt. 5-7 senteces please :) it would mean alot

Basically,

11 years ago the military tried to rescue hostages and what seemed like a good thing at the time soon became very consequent. A huge air attack killed important targets. by night fall with Israel under attack the situation turned from promise to peril. At an attempt too stop it they came into war. People felt disappointed and under promised because they thought war would turn out good but it took it's turn and ended abruptly.
