Determine if the graph is symmetric about the x-axis, the y-axis, or the origin. r = 4 cos 3θ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answers are: x-axis only y-axis only x-axis, y-axis x-axis, y-axis and origin. Is it the last one. I'm pretty sure it's the last one. I know it has symmetry on the x-axis but because it looks symmetrical at the origin, is it the last one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well uh what are you getting confused on its a pretty simple question :p ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you just look at the link and double check if it's only the x-axis or if it's x-axis, y-axis, and origin?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@HelpOfTheGods

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your answer would not be d but in fact c because there is no symmetry at the origin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope this helped ;p

Thank you @HelpOfTheGods
