ok so I have an inequality that is y/2>0 help me understand pls

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y / 2 > 0 that is a greater than sign. so, y is any #. lets say that it is 4: 4 / 2 = 2 is 2 greater than 0? yes. y can be any number, but the solution has to be greater than 0. do you understand, @hayhay2002 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be y= any number greater than 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. the answer has to be greater than 0. 2 / 2 = 0 so that is not the answer.
