B is the correct statement, although debatable.

the initial religion of Buddhism more consists of respecting Buddha and other statues that they have. it is like a very good memory and someone you respect (like a picture of your grandmother), but it was officially not meant to be worshiped.

Now however, it is just a banal polytheism, pretty much.
