Solve. -7/3 * n = -42 What is the value of n?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please answer! im doing the quiz right now, and Ive been stuck on it. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it look like this? |dw:1418931840301:dw|

@captain,yessir ?

@KamiBug

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so, you'll want to work on isolating the n, so get n on one side! so i'd get rid of that denominator first:)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

If so -7/3 ==>> -2.33 so we have -2.33n= -42 Divide both side by -2.33 and n= POSITIVE 18.26 :) @captain,yessir

But, it says to put it in a mixed number for the answer.

@Godlovesme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here's what i would do:)|dw:1418937573535:dw| n should equal 18 :) @Godlovesme, by rounding it off, we don't get an exact number as it is approximate due to the rounding:) hope that helps! @captain,yessir, mixed number means a fraction, so do what i showed:) so that way it all cancels out!
