ATP is basically a compound containing three phosphate bonds. It has a two phosphate bond version called as ADP which is less energetic. Now this ADP absorbs energy and becomes ATP. Again this ATP goes to a place where energy is needed and breaks into ADP and gives off the stored energy. The cycle repeats on...
