Help! I'm not sure what category to put this in, but English sorta fits, so.. Here's my prompt: The global economy is an important issue of particular importance to people of all ages in all parts of the world. As our world experiences a deep economic downturn, what is the best plan of action to combat global recession? A global crisis requires a global solution. For the final segment of this semester’s final project, your task is to prepare a 5 minute speech that outlines your plan to solve the global economic crisis. I don't want you to write the speech for me, I just need HELP!!!

(It's for 9th grade, btw)

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to come up with a plan, when so far, the world's leaders haven't been able to, but hey, I can try? I guess?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

It is a very broad question and it really depends on the situation I would say. You know how Hitler has put the economic depression? when he came to power, he has first made all Germans together and morally not upset. (you know what I mean) then he conquered Czechoslovakia as his first step and by doing this he had an access to the technology. Then a couple victories made it a full ecnomic prosperity. that is certainly not the way though, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heh, I have a feeling my teacher wouldn't like me to suggest that as a solution. XD

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I am thinking about a couple of things: (but it would depends on the region, it's resources, and the people's mentalities). 1) Infrastructure improvement. (Like transportation) 2) resource distribution. (Like to stop rich fat government officials from stealing things that the people can get) 3) Political piece with other countries. (Unlike Russia that has sanctions from US and Europe on it with all this long story) this is what I was thinking of, but I am not very good at economics.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes also ~ Education improvement. ~ More sights, like museums, art galleries and etc. well the bottom line is to normalize a country. to make it not only livable, but a comfortable to live in place.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking along those lines, too. The problem is, I tend too delve too deeply into projects, and then I start thinking about things like "where would the money for the infrastructure come from?" Well, it has to come from somewhere, so what would it be relocated from? What would the long-term consequences of taking money away from other things to spend it on infrastructure be? How would we ensure that the money was spent wisely? Would new laws need to be drafted? Etc, etc, etc. Which is all rather too long for a 5-minute speech. The problem is, if there was an easy way to solve the issue, we wouldn't even have a global financial crisis anymore! Goshdarnit I dislike assignments like this.

@PRAETORIAN.10 @nincompoop @markchernioglo @ElonaSushchik

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

"where would the money for the infrastructure come from?" borrow (this is how Europe did it after WWI) "What would the long-term consequences of taking money away from other things to spend it on infrastructure be?" don't forget that US (with it's best economy, which Obama will surely ruin if he doesn't get kicked) has the top debth sealing.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

*debt sealing.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, maybe new laws have to be made as well, if that is necessary.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But it's not just the US, I'm supposed to solve the GLOBAL financial crisis. Arrgh. Well, thank you very much for your tips, I'll try to incorporate those into my plan for saving the world.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I know, I wrote about the US in parenthesis

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Global crisis!! I thought... sorry.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Well, I guess a resource distribution... it is a complicated for me question firstly, because I am inclear about what a global crisis particularly means.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

*unclear

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

So what's the question?..

OpenStudy (anonymous):
