8. Which of the following relations is a function? A. (7, 1), (-3, 4), (4, 1), (7, 2) B. (4, 4), (-3, 2), (7, 1), (-7, 2) C. (4, 4), (-3, 6), (4, 3), (-7, 2) D. (4, 0), (-3, 3), (7, 1), (-3, 5)

OpenStudy (danjs):

A function maps all possible x values in the domain, to one y value in the range. So in other words (x,y), you can't have the same value in two of the x spots in the above 4 points.

OpenStudy (danjs):

For example, A is not a function because, (7,1) and (7,2) have the same x value which corresponds to two different Y values

OpenStudy (danjs):

So what are you thinking?
