I'm confused on whether or not I graph this... 'reflect the function f(x) = x^6 about the x-axis and translate it 2 units to the left and 4 units down to produce g(x).'

Would if be f(x)= -(x^6 +2) - 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*g(x)

OpenStudy (mathmate):

You're almost there ! To translate to the left, you need to add the +2 \(immediately\) to x, namely \(g(x)=-(x+2)^6-4\) would he the correct answer. Good job!

Ah, thank you so much! :D

You're welcome! :)
