Parallelogram JKLM has the coordinates J (0, 7), K (12, 7), L (10, 2), and M (-2, 2). Which of the following sets of points represents a dilation from the origin of parallelogram JKLM? A. J' (0, 28), K' (48, 28), L' (40, 8), M' (-8, 8) B. J' (4, 11), K' (16, 11), L' (14, 6), M' (2, 6) C. J' (0, 7), K' (48, 7), L' (40, 2), M' (-8, 2) D. J' (0, 28), K' (48, 7), L' (40, 2), M' (-2, 8)

The word "dilation" means expansion. So what you are looking for is the set of ordered pairs that describe the same parallelogram, but scaled equally on all sides to a larger parallelogram. So I suggest you draw the original figure. Then sketch the answer figures as well. Lastly, compare each figure to the original by making ratios of the sides (for each side do: answer / original). If you find an answer figure that has all sides with the same ratio, then that is the answer that has been a dilation of the original.
